Priority Health and Garner team up to send members to the best-performing doctors and lower employer costs

Healthcare keeps getting more expensive, and people still have no reliable way to tell which doctors actually deliver the best results. Priority Health and Garner Health are partnering to close that gap. Priority Health, a nationally recognized health plan serving more than 1.4 million members, will put Garner’s clinical data to work, guiding members to the best-performing doctors already in their network and helping cover their costs when they go.
Drawing on 550+ proprietary clinical metrics, Garner surfaces the best-performing providers in each member’s existing network by measuring doctors to identify the ones with fewer complications, fewer avoidable ER visits, and fewer readmissions. Then, Garner helps pay down the out-of-pocket costs for members who choose one. Employers bring down their total cost of care, and members reach high-quality doctors without learning a new system or leaving the network they already have.
“As healthcare costs continue to rise, employers are looking for ways to save without shifting more costs to employees or changing their benefit plans,” said Chase Osbourne, senior vice president of employer solutions and innovation at Priority Health. “Our partnership with Garner brings together data-driven provider quality rankings and innovative incentives, so members can confidently access highly rated care, receive out-of-pocket reimbursement, and employers can achieve measurable savings.”
The program is built for large, self-funded employers and sits on top of the plans and provider networks they already run. There are no carrier switches, no network cuts, and no benefit redesigns required to get started. Eligible groups can enroll beginning August 1, 2026.
“This partnership puts Garner’s provider quality data to work for Priority Health’s members at scale,” said Kirk Czonstka, senior vice president of strategic alliances at Garner. “When we steer members to top providers in their existing network, employers see measurable results on average, a 12% net reduction in healthcare spend in the first year, without shifting costs to employees or changing their benefit plans.”
