Garner and Atlantic Health announced a new partnership to help employers lower healthcare costs and give employees a more direct, affordable way to find the best-performing doctors in their network. This collaboration combines Atlantic Health's network of eight hospitals and more than 4,000 providers across northern and central New Jersey with Garner's data-driven platform designed to identify the best-performing doctors in an existing network.

Garner applies 550+ proprietary clinical metrics to a dataset covering over 60 billion medical records from 320 million patients to identify the doctors who follow the latest research, avoid unnecessary procedures, and help patients get healthier faster. When employees at participating employers use Garner to find and see a Top Provider within Atlantic Health, their employer helps cover their out-of-pocket costs, including deductibles and co-pays. Atlantic Health will also use Garner's data to support its internal quality improvement work. Importantly, Garner's methodology operates independently of the health system, preserving the integrity of the provider rankings for employers and employees alike.

The result: employees pay on average 80% less out-of-pocket when they see the best-performing doctors in their network, while employers see an average 12% reduction in total healthcare spend in the first year.
